For Artists

Bonjour! Your song was selected for Manie Musicale — félicitations!

What is Manie Musicale? Manie Musicale is an annual international competition of francophone songs, inspired by the American basketball championship "March Madness." Students try to predict which of 16 contemporary songs will win by filling out a prediction bracket. Once the competition begins, students vote for their favorite songs to see which advances round by round. Teachers collaborate to build classroom activities around the selected songs. If you've been selected, your song will be heard and studied by thousands of students — and you'll have a lot of new fans!

Commonly Asked Questions

Most of our schools are in the United States and Canada, but in 2026 we had 38 countries participate in total. We grow every year!

Our students would be thrilled if you responded to their comments on social media from time to time — it encourages and motivates them to keep speaking French. Please let us know if you ever encounter disrespect: ausecours@maniemusicale.info.

Some artists send a short thank-you video encouraging students in their French studies — you're welcome to ask them to vote for you too! Examples live on our Artist Recognition page.

Interested in a Zoom with a few classes? Contact us — it's an unforgettable experience for our community. If you'd prefer a more formal interview, our partner Jeunes Citoyens du Monde organizes short, professional conversations. We ask participating schools not to contact you for individual Zooms directly, since that could get overwhelming!

Follow us on Instagram and our YouTube channel to see student reactions to your songs — often there are videos, drawings, and more.

Thank you for your interest! It's true that inclusion in our competition brings a lot of visibility to artists — but we're not talent agents. Our organization's goal is to promote the French language and francophone culture through music in our classrooms. We don't accept solicitations from artists directly; there's a full selection process run by a committee of French teachers.

That said, we're always looking for new artists! If you'd like to be considered, our best advice: make good music, with lyrics and videos appropriate for an educational setting (no vulgarity, no drugs, no alcohol).

Thank you again, and we wish you great success in your music career. To reach us: ausecours@maniemusicale.info.
