We're Celebrating 10 Years of Manie!
Manie Musicale is an annual bracket-style competition for students and teachers of French. Similar to March Madness basketball in the United States, participants try to predict which of 16 francophone songs will be the most popular. Once the tournament starts, voters decide which song advances to the next round — until we have a champion. The best part? Students learn French while having fun with students from all over the world.
Manie Musicale is a free, international bracket competition that gets students listening to, discussing, and voting on contemporary French-language music — while building real language skills and cultural knowledge along the way. Teachers collaborate to build lessons around the selected songs; students vote in head-to-head matchups until one song is crowned champion.
If you're a French teacher discovering Manie Musicale for the first time, here's the short version: register your school (teachers only, one per school), introduce your students to this year's 16 songs, have them fill out a prediction bracket, then vote in head-to-head matchups every few days until we crown a champion in April. It's free, it's flexible, and thousands of classrooms around the world do it together.

We're Celebrating 10 Years of Manie!
Manie Musicale is only possible because of the individuals and businesses who believe in what we're building.
