Know your audience, and always screen all songs before showing them.
Manie Musicale songs are chosen by a screening team of about 30 volunteers. We review all songs and videos carefully and are reasonably confident they're "clean" and appropriate for most audiences. That said, please always use your own judgment when using our playlist and materials created by other teachers. Be careful about assigning student research on artists or their other songs, especially with younger students — it's not logistically possible for our volunteer team to fully vet every past action, video, and song by every Manie artist. You know your students, school, and community best.
Side Contests
Manie Memes — No prizes, just fun! Instructions and a "best of" slideshow are available; ask in the Facebook group or on the teacher landing page for the current Padlet link.
Showcase Artistique — Get your students singing, dancing, creating, and interacting with Nation Manie. Full instructions live on the Padlet.
Student Art Contest — Guidelines and deadlines are posted on the student and teacher Padlets each year.
Les Maniaques de Musique — Match analysis, stats, and commentary, en français! Found in the teacher resource folder and Facebook group.

New to Manie and feeling overwhelmed? We've got you.
Our Manie Resource Specialists (MRS) are experienced volunteer teachers ready to help newcomers get oriented — organized by region/timezone so you can find someone in a similar schedule to yours.
To get support:
- Find the MRS closest to your region below.
- Read their office hours carefully, and follow any specific contact instructions (some prefer email-only, for example).
- Be patient — our team of about 20 volunteers is supporting thousands of participating teachers!
- If you don't hear back right away, don't panic, and please don't email the Help Desk instead — someone will get back to you.
Teacher & School Bracket Challenges
Fancy some bragging rights? Enter the Teacher Bracket Challenge or the School Bracket Challenge (one entry per school, please) for a chance to win a prize.
Pro tip: create a free Challonge account so you can edit your prediction before the tournament launches and track your standing as results come in.
Buddy Zooms / Contact for Multi-School Zooms
Please don't request individual Zooms with artists directly — multiple requests from different schools can be overwhelming for them! Contact our Zoom coordinator to help schedule a shared Zoom across multiple schools instead. It's an unforgettable experience for our community when we get the chance to connect directly with an artist.
